Recently, a cement plant logistics fleet from Nigeria contacted us to upgrade their transportation equipment. Their aging semi trailers used for transporting bulk cement were experiencing frequent breakdowns and slow unloading times, severely impacting their daily delivery efficiency. Seeking a reliable replacement, they needed durable and efficient dry bulk transport trailers. After analyzing their requirements, we recommended the 3 Axle 45 CBM Bulk Powder Tanker Semi Trailer. Impressed by the targeted upgrades, they finalized an order for 2 units.
The daily operation of cement distribution in Nigeria places strict demands on transport vehicles. Fleet drivers must frequently transition between smooth federal highways and rugged local access roads. Carrying 45 CBM of dense bulk cement generates massive internal pressure and downward weight. When navigating bumpy unpaved paths, the entire vehicle experiences heavy shocks, requiring exceptional structural strength to prevent tank tearing and frame damage. Furthermore, maintaining high turnaround rates at busy batching plants requires incredibly fast unloading capabilities, making the slow discharge speed of their older equipment a major bottleneck.
To address the structural and efficiency requirements, this powder tanker is designed with significant upgrades. The tank features a 45 m³ single compartment design constructed with a 5mm thick Q235 steel body and 6mm thick reinforced front and rear heads. This robust construction provides the strong rigidity needed to withstand massive internal pressure and prevents the tank body from tearing under heavy loads. To drastically cut unloading cycle times, we equipped the trailer with a robust 4105 engine and a BOHAI double cylinder air compressor delivering a 12 CBM per minute flow rate. This powerful pneumatic system delivers continuous airflow for rapid discharge and minimal material residue.
To adapt to the mixed road conditions, we built a highly durable chassis. The vehicle uses three 13 ton FUWA axles and a reinforced suspension system to easily absorb severe road shocks and keep the massive payload stable. For the tires, twelve 12R22.5 TRIANGLE tubeless tires provide low rolling resistance for excellent fuel economy and long lasting durability. Finally, utilizing globally recognized brand components like the WABCO braking system, JOST 90# kingpin, and JOST 28 ton landing gear ensures a low failure rate and easy local maintenance in Nigeria.
