A customer from the Democratic Republic of Congo contacted us through our Facebook promotion. He is a local truck trader and said that his end customer needs two all-wheel drive tanker trucks for fuel distribution operations within the Kolwezi copper mine. He prefers the BEIBEN brand because of its good reputation in the local area and its high reliability and durability.Ultimately, he placed an order for two BEIBEN 15000 Liters 6×6 Fuel Tanker Trucks.
The local operating conditions pose a big challenge for trucks. The rainy season lasts for six months, and the mining area is typical red soil terrain. After heavy rain, the dirt turns into flowing mud, and heavy trucks can easily get stuck. There are some paved roads, but the bases are loose and easy to break. Although paved roads exist, their loose roadbeds make them susceptible to damage. During the dry season, the soil loses moisture and cracks, causing the road surfaces to fragment and become heavily rutted. Furthermore, the mining area is vast and the operational sites are widely dispersed; consequently, reliable trucks are required to traverse temporary access tracks to reach remote work points—delivering fuel for routine operations as well as providing emergency fuel supplies during the rainy season.
To handle the deep mud, the BEIBEN 2638 truck has a strong 6×6 all-wheel-drive system with differential locks. This system ensures continuous power output and prevents the drive wheels from lifting off the ground. This stops the truck from losing power in the mud. Also, the large 14R20 mining pattern tires give it high ground clearance. This makes it much easier to drive over broken roads with deep holes and protects the bottom of the truck.Furthermore, because BEIBEN trucks have a large presence in the area, they are very easy to repair even if problems arise, and truck parts are readily available locally.
For its body structure, it uses a ductile iron axle housing that is a one-piece casting. It is very strong, has robust impact resistance, and will not bend or break when truck is full loaded. It even remains intact when the bottom is hit by a stone. And it has a 15-cubic-meter carbon steel tank. The tank is flat and elliptical, which gives it an ultra-low center of gravity. This design strikes an optimal balance between transport capacity and vehicle stability. It greatly lowers the risk of the truck rolling over on steep inclines. All these features make it perfect for the local off-road fuel delivery work.
