Several months ago, a customer from Algeria reached out to us on a friend’s recommendation. As a government infrastructure contractor, he needed two tractor trucks for the Western Algeria Railway and Mining Line Project. The tractors would be paired with dump semi trailers to transport railway subgrade materials, earthwork, and aggregate. Based on the heavy load requirements, we recommended Two Sleepers 6×4 480HP SINOTRUK SITRAK tractor trucks. As the trucks fully met the customer’s needs, he quickly placed an order. The trucks arrived at the port two months ago, and the customer took delivery smoothly. Last month, he sent us photos and videos of the trucks in operation, noting that they were running steadily and that he was very satisfied. He also expressed his interest in working with us again in the future.
Considering the working environment and heavy load requirements of this tractor truck, the trailer truck equipped with 480 horsepower engine and 315/80R22.5 tires. The project site is located deep in the Sahara Desert, and the 480 horsepower engine provides ample power for the tractor unit to climb hills fully loaded in the desert. Furthermore, the engine’s compact and reliable design ensures excellent durability in harsh environments; given the continuous high temperatures in the desert, the 315/80R22.5 tires are tubeless, reducing the risk of tire blowouts in high temperature conditions. In addition, the tractor truck features a front tire with a straight line tread pattern and a rear tire with a block tread pattern. The block tread pattern enhances grip, preventing the tractor truck from slipping when climbing hills.
The project has a long construction period and a very large demand for roadbed materials. Therefore, the tractor truck often needs to operate continuously. This tractor truck is equipped with two sleeper berths, allowing for dual driver rotation and enabling uninterrupted 24/7 operation, improving truck utilization. The two sleeper berths provide each driver with their own independent rest space, allowing one driver to sleep undisturbed while the other sleeps, effectively reducing driver fatigue and fundamentally ensuring driving safety. In addition, two warning lights are installed on the roof of the cab. When the truck is driving at night, the warning lights can alert other vehicles and pedestrians, maximizing nighttime driving safety.
Sometimes we use flat rack containers to transport tractor trailer. A 40FT flat rack container can hold two tractor trailers, doubling the capacity compared to traditional methods and helping customers save on transportation costs to some extent. To prevent the tractor trailers from rusting during transportation, we also cover the trucks with tarpaulins. This minimizes the impact of the humid environment during sea transport on the trucks, ensuring that customers receive the trucks in good condition.
