Benefiting from Nigeria’s thriving port economy, a new client proactively contacted us through our official website, requiring a tractor-trailer suitable for long-distance transportation to support their logistics business in Nigeria and surrounding countries. Considering the client’s core needs for long-distance operations and dual-driver shifts, we recommended the SINOTRUK HOWO 430HP High Roof Tractor Truck. After multiple rounds of detailed discussions, the client formally signed a purchase contract and successfully ordered the truck.
As a logistics hub in West Africa, Nigeria’s logistics industry continues to expand, handling transshipment for goods from neighboring Benin, Togo, and Chad. Lagos Port alone handles 70% of the country’s imports and exports. Over 90% of the country’s transportation is by road, with a main road network connecting major ports and inland cities. However, some road sections have complex conditions, and fuel stations are unevenly distributed, frequently leading to fuel shortages. Therefore, the customer needs to purchase a powerful, long-range, and highly reliable tractor truck.
The HOWO Tractor Truck is equipped with a high-roof double sleeper berth and a 430-horsepower Weichai engine. The double sleeper berths are both over 75cm wide, with independent lighting and privacy curtains, meeting the rest needs of two drivers working in shifts and preventing fatigue from affecting transportation efficiency and safety during long-distance driving. The Weichai WP12 engine has a maximum torque of 2060 N·m, providing strong power suitable for mountainous and unpaved roads, easily handling 49-ton heavy loads for starting and climbing, and offering good fuel economy at high speeds, making it suitable for local high fuel price environments.
It also features a large-capacity 600L + 300L fuel tank and a front black protective bar to further enhance the vehicle’s practicality. A full tank provides a range of over 2500 kilometers, significantly reducing the need for refueling and avoiding fuel shortages in sparsely populated areas such as border regions. The thickened black steel protective bar effectively protects against road debris, dirt, and accidental impacts, safeguarding the cab and core engine components and reducing maintenance costs in Nigeria’s challenging road conditions. These features maximize operational efficiency while ensuring transportation safety.
