The expansion of the container terminal at the Port of Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire required a large number of container flatbed semi-trailers, leading to a public tender. Our client, after receiving the tender documents, contacted our company seeking quotes for side wall trailer and flatbed semi-trailers. We quickly provided a quote for side wall and flatbed trailer. To help our client win the bid, we offered a very competitive price while maintaining the highest quality. The trailers used all well-known brand parts and advanced manufacturing processes, ensuring a long service life. After a period of time, our client won the bid and ultimately purchased 20 trailers from our company.
Before our semi-trailers arrive at the port, they undergo a waxing process to prevent rust and corrosion during transport. Before waxing, we clean the trailer, removing impurities from the vehicle’s surface to prepare for the next step of applying rust-preventive wax and grease, thus enhancing their adhesion. After the rust-preventive wax is applied, we check for any missed spots, runs, dust, or other defects. Then, we apply a second layer of grease to areas prone to rust for double protection.
These container semi-trailers are mostly transported by generally cargo vessel, with ocean freight charged according to the trailer’s dimensions. When customers need multiple units, we can stack them for transport, saving them a significant amount on shipping costs and reducing procurement expenses. We typically fasten two semi-trailers together, which lowers the overall height and reduces ocean freight. Once the two semi-trailers are assembled, the customer can easily assemble them at the destination port upon receiving the goods—it’s very simple and convenient. We used this method for this shipment, saving our customer a considerable amount on ocean freight, which greatly pleased them.
We have our own semi-trailer factory, enabling us to support customized production for our clients. Our semi-trailers utilize automated submerged arc welding technology, ensuring the main beams are welded uniformly in one go, preventing beam breakage. The shot blasting process, using high-speed rotating wheels, removes dirt and oxide layers from the semi-trailer surface through high-speed steel shot, increasing surface roughness and enhancing paint adhesion. This is one of the key reasons why our TRUCKMAN flatbed semi-trailers have a longer paint lifespan. Furthermore, we can provide trailer spare parts to our clients; we have our own parts warehouse to guarantee after-sales maintenance services.
