A client in Nigeria required a multi-line, multi-axle semi-trailer to transport large-scale mining equipment. Based on their requirements, we recommended the 4 line 8 axle lowboy semi trailer and provided detailed technical specifications. After analyzing our proposal, the client’s technical team deemed it highly suitable but requested a more competitive price, noting that they would purchase three additional units if the product proved reliable. We revisited the pricing with the factory and ultimately offered a price that satisfied the client.
Opting for a multi-axle, multi-line semi-trailer is an excellent choice. Compared to standard 3- or 4-axle trailers, this design effectively distributes tire pressure on the ground—thereby minimizing road surface damage—while significantly boosting the vehicle’s load-bearing capacity and ensuring greater stability when transporting heavy-tonnage cargo.
To address the client’s need for transporting large-scale equipment, we have incorporated extenders on both sides of the standard 3.6m wide platform. These allow for an additional 50 cm of width—bringing the effective load-bearing width to 4.1 meters—thereby better accommodating various equipment sizes and eliminating safety risks associated with loads exceeding the standard loading limits. Importantly, this widening design does not alter the trailer’s overall compliant specifications, the width can be quickly reverted to the standard setting when necessary to meet passage requirements on different road sections.
