General Cargo Vessel
General cargo vessels can transport a wide variety of goods, such as steel, minerals, grain, vehicles, and other bulk commodities, and are commonly used ships. They offer advantages such as frequent voyages and low freight costs; however, their drawbacks are also evident. General cargo vessels have slow loading speeds, and adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain, high temperatures, or typhoons can halt operations, further slowing the loading process. Sometimes, loading operations may not begin until the cargo at the bottom of the ship’s hold arrives at the loading port.
